And Jehoshaphat said , Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him ?

Jehoshaphat said , 'The word of the Lord is with him . ' So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him .

And he said unto Jehoshaphat , Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramothgilead?

The LORD was with Jehoshaphat , because he walked in the earlier ways of his father David. He did not seek the Baals.

Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about .

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat , 'Didn't I tell you that he never prophesies anything good about me , but only bad ? '

The fear of the Lord fell on all the kingdoms of the lands surrounding Judah , so that they did not make war with Jehoshaphat.

耶和华使犹大四围的列国都甚恐惧，不敢与约沙法争战。

And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat , Did I not tell thee that he would not prophesy good concerning me , but evil ?

以色列王对约沙法说：「我岂没有告诉你，这人指着我所说的预言，不说吉语单说凶言吗？」

Now Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers , and was buried with his fathers in the city of David . And Jehoram his son reigned in his stead .

约沙法与他列祖同睡，葬在大卫城他列祖的坟地里。他儿子约兰接续他作王。

And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel , Enquire , I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day.

约沙法对以色列王说，请你先求问耶和华。

Jehoshaphat bowed with his face to the ground , and all the people of Judah and Jerusalem fell down in worship before the Lord .

约沙法就面伏于地，犹大众人和耶路撒冷的居民也俯伏在耶和华面前，叩拜耶和华。

Then Ahaziah the son of Ahab said to Jehoshaphat, "Let my servants go with your servants in the ships . " But Jehoshaphat was not willing .

亚哈的儿子亚哈谢对约沙法说、容我的仆人和你的仆人坐船同去罢 .约沙法却不肯。

Jehoshaphat stood up in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem in the house of the LORD before the new court .

Then said Ahaziah the son of Ahab unto Jehoshaphat, Let my servants go with thy servants in the ships . But Jehoshaphat would not.

亚哈的儿子亚哈谢对约沙法说：「容我的仆人和你的仆人坐船同去吧！」约沙法却不肯。

16

And Jehoshaphat the son of Asa began to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel .

And the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace , for his God had given him rest on every side.

Joram son of Ahab became king of Israel in Samaria in the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah , and he reigned twelve years .

犹大王约沙法十八年，亚哈的儿子约兰在撒玛利亚登基作了以色列王十二年。

[ bbe ] so when the captains of the war - carriages saw jehoshaphat , they said , it is the king of israel .

车兵长看见约沙法便说，这必是以色列王，就转过去与他争战。

' Jehoshaphat replied , 'I am as you are, and my people as your people; we will join you in the war .

他回答说，你我不分彼此，我的民与你的民一样，必与你同去争战。

25

And Jehoshaphat feared , and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

约沙法便惧怕，定意寻求耶和华，在犹大全地宣告禁食。

Because Ahaziah had no son , Joram succeeded him as king in the second year of Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah.

因他没有儿子，他兄弟约兰接续他作王，正在犹大王约沙法的儿子约兰第二年。

Jehoshaphat replied to the king of Israel , 'I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses. '

约沙法对以色列王说，你我不分彼此，我的民与你的民一样，我的马与你的马一样。

18And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat , Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me , but evil ?

18 以色列王对约沙法说：我岂没有告诉你，这人指着我所说的预言，不说吉语单说凶言么？

But Jehoshaphat asked , 'Is there no prophet of the Lord here , that we may inquire of the Lord through him ? '

约沙法说，这里不是有耶和华的先知吗？我们可以托他求问耶和华。

Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned in safety to his house in Jerusalem .

犹大王约沙法平平安安的回耶路撒冷，到宫里去了。
